This is the opening prologue to my epic fan fic based on the Fallout video game series.
The story it's self features original characters and locations created by me and largely features anthropomorphic children with varying species as the main cast, trying to survive in a harsh world full of monsters, murder, theft and more.
Originally this was going to be 10 pages long but I got lax and was only able to come up with 5, the remaining part when released with be re-released as a whole when it's completed.

you use the word "and" far too much. ^^ commas, bro. also, beware of lines like "really did a number on." those are fine for thoughts or speaking but are generally not right for the interim between vocalization. i know nothing of the world, but i thought you did an amazing job explaining the war and what caused it. lot of potential here.
